Who we help
The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Their mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
The first of its kind when it opened its doors in 2000, the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program is a global leader in testing, treating, and researching sports-related concussions. With over 17,000 patient visits each year and over 30 staff members, the program treats high schoolers, college students, and pro athletes — including many from the MLB, NHL, and NFL — from across the United States.
